My name is Cindy Jones Lantier, and I'm the owner and maker here at The Eclectic Soul. I met so many new people at the Downtown Redlands Art Walk / Art on State Street event Sunday that I thought maybe we (The Eclectic Soul and me) should introduce ourselves.
Maybe you've thought:
- I want to live a meaningful and fulfilling life, but I don't have enough time for myself.
- I want someplace of my own, where I can really express my personal sense of style.
- Not only do I want to live an inspired life, I want to inspire others.
- A man's home may be his castle, but a woman's home should be an oasis -- for both her and the people she loves.
- I don't want to get to the end of my life and feel as though I've lived someone else's life.
You may think it odd that a "soap company" is concerned about thoughts like these, but I hope you'll soon experience for yourself that The Eclectic Soul is no ordinary "soap company."
You see, we here at The Eclectic Soul (affectionately referred to as TES in our family) want to not only provide you with beautiful, luxurious soap and personal care products, but we want to inspire and uplift you, too.
I'm here to help you discover the same joy in life that I have found.
For me, that joy comes through making, connecting, and my daily spiritual practice. For you, it might come through something entirely different. And that's okay. No, that's more than okay; that's beautiful!
We are as varied as snowflakes, as individual as the grooves on our fingertips. It just wouldn't make sense for us to have the same needs, aspirations, and desires.
I hope my weekly email newsletters and blog posts will not only tempt you to visit TES's online shop; I also hope that something I say helps you find that same joy for yourself. I believe that one of the reasons we are walking around on earth these days is to recover a sense of joy, awe, and wonder. The upliftment of all humanity depends on it.
I'm here to help you see (not find) your place in the world.
We can talk about karma, dharma, and fate all day long -- But the reality is that each one of us has something unique to offer the world, a special role in the human drama that is no more and no less special than the role of anyone else.
I'll write about new offerings in the online shop or an upcoming event where I'll be vending, sure. But I'll also write about what I've come to see as the nature of reality. But not from a heavy, sloggy, theoretical place. I'll write about the way things work in a way that works.
I'm old enough to have learned a thing or two, but young enough to still be curious. I'll share what I find as I make my way, because I know that you are curious, too.
I'm here to help you love your life -- or change it!
There is no reason for you to be stuck in a life you don't love. There are always options, even if only in the way you choose to process the circumstances around you.
And I'm not talking about invoking the Law of Attraction (although I might reference ideas that sound similar). I'm talking about changing your thoughts and changing your attitudes. I'm talking about changing your actions, if necessary. I'm talking about making the question "What am I not bringing to this situation?" your new mantra. When you realize that your life truly is what you make of it, you'll probably want to make something different.
I'm not saying that I'll teach you how to create a life of fame, beauty, and fortune. What I will teach you is how to be more appreciative of the life you are living, in a way that opens the door for more to come into your life.
About Cindy Jones Lantier
I am a Certified Professional Coach and a Spiritual Mentor. And a wife, friend, and spiritual seeker. And, of course, a maker -- of all sorts of things!
I've tried to keep my interests separate and compartmentalized: Coaching on Monday, spiritual work on Wednesday, and making on Friday. But honestly, that didn't work well for very long. As a Spiritual Mentor, for example, I was making my own version of prayer beads and giving out handmade journals.
I was always unfocused because I inevitably wanted to be working on my Friday tasks on Tuesday. I wanted to string beads when I was supposed to be writing my first coaching course. Needless to say, I got a little stressed!
So, it seemed time to take my own advice.
Go where the joy is. Choose love.
As I mentioned before, for me the joy lies in making, connecting deeply with others, and maintaining my daily spiritual practice. When I couldn't decide whether to pursue making/selling or coaching/mentoring, I finally saw an alternative -- Do it all!
And so, little luxuries for the discerning spirit became TES's tagline. And I had a framework to structure all of my decisions about the business of TES.
I have the joy that was alluding me as I struggled with the decision of how to "best" express myself and frame my work.
Join The Eclectic Soul's email tribe, and we'll see what we can do about finding your joy, too!
